Pineapple Banana Smoothie

We have "moobies" pretty often for breakfast around here at Graham's request. I like the sort-of ice cream like trickery involved to get in lots of fruit. Not that I have to trick him into eating much of anything, but who wouldn't want ice cream for breakfast? Sometimes he asks for them in the middle of the day. Graham loves to help make them. He sits on the counter and peels bananas, adds yogurt and berries, and pushes the button to blend it up. It's apparently fantastic fun. Our standard usually involves frozen strawberries, a banana or two, yogurt, milk and wheat germ. But today, I had a pineapple I cut a few days ago that needed to be used. And three bananas that needed to be used. I threw in 4-5 frozen strawberries, just to create that magic ice cream thing, and some soy milk. I left out the yogurt since we were using so many bananas and it had plenty of creamy texture. It was kind of like an Orange (Pineapple) Julius, which I'm not sure even exists anymore. Our new smoothie was quite a hit!

*One cup of pineapple supplies 131% of vitamin C! Interesting pineapple fact: it takes 18-22 months to grow a 4-5 pound fruit. Guess it's a good thing we didn't let it go to waste.
